Wanda B&B: nine years of dreams, sacrifices, smiles, and hospitality.

Some stories begin with a business venture. Others begin with a deep connection, a memory, a dream that slowly becomes reality.
The story of Wanda B&B belongs to the second kind.
It all began in 2017, when our father came across an abandoned building, almost hidden by vegetation, in the heart of Vomero. It seemed to have lost all its former splendour, but perhaps it was simply waiting for someone who could imagine what it might become.
For our family, the neighbourhood was no ordinary place: our parents were born and raised in Vomero. It was where their roots, memories and everyday lives were. Restoring that building also meant rediscovering a piece of our own history.
That spark of inspiration gave rise to a project that would change our lives.
## A choice that changed everything
At the time, I was studying Mechanical Engineering and was nearing the end of my degree. I had a clear path ahead of me, but the Wanda B&B project began to take up more and more of my time and attention.
I chose to embark on this adventure, setting aside the path I had imagined for myself until then.
It wasn’t just a career choice; it became a life choice. Today, Wanda B&B is my work and my everyday life, and it also allows me to stay close to the people I love and to my roots.
And the name is no coincidence: Wanda was my grandmother’s name, and she continues to live on in my heart.
## A small place with a strong identity
Wanda B&B is located at 106 Via Luca Giordano, in the heart of Vomero, one of Naples’ most elegant, lively and distinctive neighbourhoods.
We’re not a large hotel, and we never wanted to be one.
We’re a very small, family-run guesthouse with just three rooms, set inside a historic building.
Part of what makes us special is something you might not expect to find in the centre of such a lively neighbourhood: a peaceful, private setting overlooking an inner courtyard, away from the street traffic, with plants, greenery and citrus trees.
A little haven of calm where you can slow down after a day spent exploring Naples.
Our three rooms, including the Junior Suite, have been designed to offer comfort, practicality and thoughtful surroundings:
- Comfortable mattresses and a focus on a good night’s sleep.
- Private bathrooms and spacious showers.
- Smart TVs and air conditioning.
- Ultra-fast fibre-optic Wi-Fi and LAN connection.
- A minibar, kettle, tea and water.
- Daily cleaning and attention to detail.
For us, comfort isn’t just a list of amenities. It’s about helping our guests feel at home, even when they’re away from home.
## Hospitality has a face: Ciro
Over the past nine years, I’ve learned that welcoming guests means more than simply handing over a key.
It means being there before they arrive, throughout their stay and even after they leave.
It means answering a question, recommending a restaurant, suggesting an itinerary, helping organise transport or finding a solution when something doesn’t go as planned.
It means understanding what guests need, being helpful without intruding, and being present while respecting their space and privacy.
That’s the kind of hospitality I try to offer every day: warm, attentive, discreet and personal.
And when I can’t be there in person, we arrange self check-in so guests can access the property with ease.
## Vomero: Much More Than a Location
One of our greatest strengths is where we’ve chosen to welcome our guests.
Via Luca Giordano is one of Vomero’s best-known streets, lined with shops, cafés, restaurants, bakeries and gelaterias.
Just a few minutes away are Vanvitelli metro station, the funiculars and some of the neighbourhood’s most beautiful attractions:
Villa Floridiana and the Duca di Martina Museum.
Castel Sant’Elmo and the Certosa di San Martino.
Panoramic terraces offering views over the Gulf of Naples.
Shopping streets and places that are part of Vomero’s local traditions.
Vomero lets you experience a different side of Naples: lively, elegant, well-serviced and connected to the rest of the city, yet also home to peaceful little corners.
We’re delighted to share it with our guests, suggesting places, experiences and itineraries that often go beyond the classic tourist destinations.
## The Little Things That Make a Difference
Over the years, we’ve tried to create an experience that goes beyond the room.
Breakfast is available with a voucher at Bar Cimmino, at Via Luca Giordano 124—a lovely way to start the day with a coffee and a Neapolitan speciality.
We also offer:
- Daily room cleaning.
- Towel changes according to your needs, with sustainability in mind.
- Well-cared-for linens.
- Water for our guests.
- Luggage storage, on request and subject to availability.
- Information and assistance throughout your stay.
- Directions to secure parking facilities and on-street parking.
- Help with transfers and getting around.
Together, these thoughtful touches help make your stay easier and more enjoyable.
## Nine Years of Trust and Recognition
Over the past nine years, Wanda B&B has welcomed travellers, couples, families, professionals, and visitors from Italy and around the world.
Each with a story, a reason for visiting Naples and their own expectations.
We’ve learned from every stay, every suggestion and even the challenges that are part of our day-to-day work.
Guest reviews have become an essential part of our journey. They’re not just numbers or ratings, but reflections of the work we do and the trust so many people have placed in us.
Among our achievements are Airbnb Superhost status and the excellent results we’ve earned through reviews on Booking.com.
These results don’t happen by chance: they’re the fruit of constant attention, care for our spaces, a welcoming attitude and daily commitment.
## Nine Years On, the Dream Continues
Looking back, we see an abandoned building, an idea, a family and a decision that changed the course of our lives.
Today, we see a small business that has welcomed people from so many countries, helped introduce visitors to Naples and Vomero, and continues to grow without losing its identity.
Because one thing hasn’t changed over the years: we don’t want to be simply a place to sleep. We want to be a point of reference for anyone who wants to experience Naples.
On 11 November, we’re not just celebrating the opening of a guesthouse.
We’re celebrating nine years of encounters, faces, stories, sacrifices, achievements and small gestures that, day after day, have helped us build something meaningful.
To everyone who has chosen us, even just once; to those who have returned; to those who have recommended us to friends and family; to everyone who has left a review and continues to follow us: **THANK YOU.**
And a special thank-you to my family, because without those roots and that first dream, Wanda B&B would never have existed.
❤️ **Happy ninth anniversary, Wanda B&B.**
Nine years of hospitality. Nine years of memories. Nine years of Naples, in the heart of Vomero.
And this story still has many pages left to write.
