REGULATION:
Rules for accessing the area:
From May 1st to September 30th, access is allowed only by reservation;
It is possible to book only for a specific time slot (morning 9:00-13:00 or afternoon 14:00-18:00), to allow access to a greater number of people, safely;
For each time slot, access is allowed for a maximum of 200 people;
Reservations are reserved for adults; minors can only access if accompanied by an adult;
Each reservation can be made for a maximum of 5 participants (including at least 1 adult), by entering the required data for each participant (name, surname, place and date of birth, email, phone number, Tax Code, residence);
Each person can access a maximum of 3 times a week (from Monday to Sunday);
It is possible to cancel your reservation up to the start time of the booked time slot (9:00 am for the morning slot and 2:00 pm for the afternoon slot), using the link received after booking;
Reservations open every Sunday at 6:00 pm, valid from Monday to the following Sunday. It is possible to book up to 1 hour before the end of each time slot;
It is mandatory to show the reservation ticket on your phone or printed to the staff in charge of the control at the entrance;
It is mandatory to bring a valid identification document and tax code (for each participant);
At the end of each time slot (morning: 1:00 pm - afternoon: 6:00 pm), the area must be promptly vacated;
Parking vehicles on the drivable road of Discesa Gaiola is prohibited.
Environmental protection rules
It is mandatory to know and respect the regulations for environmental and archaeological protection of the Gaiola Underwater Marine Protected Area provided by the Interministerial Decree 07/08/2002 which can be found on the website www.areamarinaprotettagaiola.it;
It is FORBIDDEN to introduce any kind of empty waste (plastic/glass bottles, cans, plastic cups, plates, etc.) into the area;
It is FORBIDDEN to abandon any type of waste in the area. Any waste must be brought back and deposited in the appropriate containers on the drivable road;
Fishing and collecting any animal or plant organism is prohibited;
Collecting rock or archaeological formations is prohibited;
Smokers MUST have a portable ashtray with them.

Tips
When arriving by car near the Virgiliano Park, you can park on via Tito Lucrezio Caro, on the blue lines, paid parking, 1 euro every two hours. From there, you walk for just over a kilometer along a road that runs alongside several villas, cultivated areas, and fishermen's houses. Before reaching the destination, you will find public toilets with attached showers. The climb back is quite challenging.
