At Lido Montenuovo in Arco Felice, the traditional annual gathering of SUP, kayak, and canoe enthusiasts will once again take place, on a day that promises to have an almost summery climate. This event will mark the conclusion of the eighth edition of ArcheoCamp, an initiative dedicated to underwater archaeological tourism, organized by the Sub Center Campi Flegrei under the direction of Enzo Maione. Thanks to the efforts of Nicola Maggitelli, Maria Cassese, along with Lorenzo Looz and Maurizio Sollo, participants will have the opportunity to explore historical sites of the ancient city of Baia and Portus Iulius, immersing themselves in waters rich in mosaics and remains from the imperial era.
Cesare Colandrea, one of the participants, will express his enthusiasm for the beauty preserved by the sea, while kayak instructor Lydia Grillo will emphasize the importance of combining sports, culture, and history. Even though the event will coincide with the half marathon of the Campi Flegrei, a great turnout is expected, confirming the goal of enhancing the territory and submerged archaeology. Maggitelli will hint at further surprises for the future, inviting everyone to follow updates on their social media channels.
