🎼 Naples, land of history, music, and great artists 🎼
Today we want to tell you a fragment of Neapolitan history that connects our city to a great name in baroque music: Alessandro Scarlatti.
📜 Born in Palermo but adopted by Naples, Scarlatti lived here from 1684, composing over 35 melodramas and an incredible number of pieces for every occasion. A production that has left an indelible mark on music and culture.
🕊️ He rests today in the Church of Santa Maria a Montesanto, next to the Cumana station, in a chapel dedicated to Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians. Naples, with affection and gratitude, has even dedicated one of its main streets to him, keeping his memory alive in the heart of Vomero.
💡 Our city never ceases to amaze, with stories that intertwine art, passion, and beauty. And it is with this spirit that at Wanda B& B we welcome our guests, making them feel part of a timeless tale.
📍 We look forward to experiencing a piece of Naples' history together!
