HISTORY: The Real Teatro San Carlo, also known as Teatro San Carlo, is the opera house of Naples. It is located on an anonymous street and on Trento and Trieste Square. Founded in 1737, it is the oldest active theater in the world and the first in Italy to establish a dance school. Initially, it could accommodate over 3, 000 spectators, but this was later reduced by half for safety reasons. The horseshoe-shaped hall has 5 tiers of boxes, a gallery, a large royal box, and a vast auditorium. Besides its size, beauty, and uniqueness, it is known for its perfect acoustics, which are the same in every seat. The museum of theater history is also interesting. It has been included by UNESCO in the list of World Heritage Sites. A must-visit.
